Farm Sanctuary Awards - 2007 Corporate Leader in Compassion Award

Turtle Mountain recently received the 2007 Corporate Leader in Compassion Award from Farm Sanctuary – the nation’s leading farm animal protection organization. The award was presented to Turtle Mountain in September amidst a star studded crowd at the annual Farm Sanctuary Gala in Beverly Hills.

Turtle Mountain received this award both for its longstanding support of Farm Sanctuary and for a recent collaboration. In March 2007, Turtle Mountain partnered with Farm Sanctuary to create a new line of product: So Delicious® Dairy Free Kids Fruit and Fudge Pops. Proceeds from the sale of the product go directly to promote and support the Farm Sanctuary Kidz Club. The purpose of the Club is to tap children’s natural affinity for animals and educate them about healthy nutrition and the impact of factory farming on the environment and animals.

Additionally, several Turtle Mountain executives and their families have visited Farm Sanctuary shelters recently and developed a special bond with Larry the steer and many of the farm’s other colorful inhabitants.
